The street and crossing roadbed plates of the I-Track roadbed system are made of a special 1 mm material and are glued directly onto the base surface – either with traditional wood glue or with Hacker’s industrial CA superglue.
The roadbed plates are factory-prepared with perfectly and precisely pre-cut grooves for installing the 3×1 mm Viessmann magnetic strip (item no. V8430). The crossing roadbed plates additionally feature pre-cut openings for mounting the mechanical Viessmann turnouts (item no. V8448 or V8445). This makes installing the magnetic strip extremely easy.
At the turnout position, simply drill a 35 mm hole into the baseboard using a step drill. The mechanical turnout is then mounted on the underside of the baseboard using the I-Track Holder W (item no. HCT8408W).

For curves with a radius of less than 20 cm, use the FLEXI transition piece HCT9403T and continue with FLEXI segments 2,85 cm HCT9402F.
This increases the spacing of the guide magnetic strips to 1 cm, allowing longer vehicles and buses to pass each other safely in curves.
At the end of the curve, use the same transition piece again to return to the standard spacing of the guide magnetic strips of 4 cm on straight sections.
