The kit comes very nicely machined and pretty solid in its box. All the pieces fit perfectly and needed no rework at all. I really liked that it comes already painted in this nice camo scheme!
Nevertheless, since I am a modeler since early childhood I have my own flavor for some things.
Contrary to the Instructions the whole kit was glued with PU-Glue (SOUDAL 45) – as it is my favorite glue for now. Time will proof if this was a good decision or not.
I reinforced the leading edge of the wing with fiberglass-tape in two layers and covered these with isolating tape – to make that stick I coated the leading edge upfront with UHU-POR (yellow-green tube, for hard foams).
The servos for rudder and elevator where placed within the fuselage to keep center of gravity without adding extra counterweight when I add my FPV-Gear.
Speaking of durability … since I want to use this plane in FPV-Combat and I expect it to crash a lot I decided to change the carbon fiber-rods which are supposed to reinforce the wings with a self-made 10x10mm balsa-beam coated with carbon fiber.
After building was done it was time to do the maiden flight.
I was really impressed by her flight performance. Straight out of the box, without big trimming and tuning she flew like on rails. Perfect! Marvelous!
The construction was very well described in the instructions.
I really enjoyed building this kit.
Not complicated at all!
