In 1996, Mercedes introduced the ACTROS series in various variants. This vehicle is equipped with an M cab. Like all models in the CarMotion series, it features the following features:
- Charging and programming connection
- Short charging times thanks to modern Li-Po batteries
- A single battery charge provides approximately 4-6 hours of runtime under normal driving conditions with waiting periods and at various speeds, and approximately 2 hours at top speed
- Easy on/off switching using a reed switch under the roof of the driver's cab with a magnetic pin or telescopic magnetic rod (item 8410)
- Infrared transmitter/receiver for distance control (only partially compatible with other IR systems)
- Realistic braking and acceleration processes and configurable speed thanks to a speed-controlled motor
- Underfloor drive provides free loading space
- Cab lighting
- Brake lights and reversing lights
- Controllable right/left turn signals and hazard warning lights
- Low beam/high beam
- Roof indicators (depending on vehicle type)
- Visible driver's cab with figure
- 5-pin plug-in connector for connection CarMotion trailers or semi-trailers
- Compatible with existing systems with contact wire or magnetic tape
- Control via infrared signals, permanent magnets (item 8431) in the road, electromagnetic stop coils, and remote control (item 8402)
- Even without lane markers, a short, straight reversing movement is possible using the remote control
