Diesel railcar M 152 0059 with trailer, CSD, DC-TT
Artikl: ROTT7780001
The first prototype of the new M151.0 railcar was presented by Vagonka Tatra in 1973 as a successor to the M131.1 class railcars, which were no longer up to date. In October 1973, this vehicle was presented to visitors of the World Exhibition of Railway Technology in Basel. Starting in 1975, a total of 678 railcars were delivered in seven series. In addition to the railcars, matching type Blm trailers were delivered, which were identical in appearance to the railcars. In the period from 1979 to 1986, another 205 vehicles were delivered to the Hungarian State Railways MAV and incorporated there in the Bzmot class.
The railcars can also be found in cross-border local traffic between Germany and the Czech Republic. Since 1988, the railcars have had class number 810. Model train enthusiasts gave the railcar the nickname the “bread box”, probably inspired by its angular body.
