The InductiveCharger enables wireless vehicle recharging and inductive communication with the vehicle. Vehicles stop on the module and automatically position themselves over the charging coil, with charging currents being automatically adjusted. These modules are particularly suitable for locations with longer stop times, such as traffic lights, railroad crossings, or gas stations. Multiple modules can be networked with future software updates to autonomously guide vehicles to charging positions. A control output for the motorized 2/3-way junction (item 8448), which can also control servos, rounds out the capabilities. For trucks, the ratio of travel time to charging time is approximately 3:1. This allows for virtually unlimited travel time. The InductiveCharger can also switch vehicles with receiver coils on and off. The vehicles must be retrofitted with the receiver coil (item 8440).
