By 2022, 18 BLS type Re 465 locomotives were modernized and given a new color. Appropriate multiple control units were installed to facilitate use with Vectron and Traxx freight locomotives. Furthermore, an Ethernet train backbone was introduced for the traction of Autotunnel trains and future GoldenPass trains. Modifications were made at the company's own plant in Bönigen.
