From 1971, the Deutsche Bundesbahn put Class 218 locomotives into service and used them to haul passenger and freight trains. They are now used on most non-electrified lines and reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. They have an output of 1,840 kW. Currently, some of the locomotives are still in service in Ulm, Kempten and Mühldorf am Inn.
Curved turnout left hand BWr3/4, without turnout mechanism.
Radius of main track and branch track 419.6 mm (R3), arc angle 30°.
Suitable turnout mechanism:
40295 or 40296 (electric turnout mechanism),
40297 or 40298 (manual turnout mechanism)
or 10030 (below baseboard mechanism).
