Steam locomotive 302.608, MAV, H0 - SOUND

The class 109 locomotives represented the culmination and high point of the 2-C locomotives in Austria. They made it possible to reduce the travel time between Vienna and Trieste from 13.5 to 10.5 hours. In 1913, the Budapest machine factory built eleven locomotives for use on lines in the Hungarian half of the empire. The locomotive, later designated as the 302 series in Hungary, differs from the original 109 series mainly in the angular covering of the inlet pipes and the typically Hungarian lamps. The air pump is also in a different place, namely at the back left of the boiler. The 109.107 numbered steam locomotive was built in Budapest in 1915, based on Austrian plan drawings. In 1932 the DSA railway company (Donau-Sava-Adria railway company) was nationalized. Its vehicles were transferred to MÁV. From 1932 this locomotive was working as MÁV 302.608. The model shows us the appearance of the last years of the locomotive.

I-Track roadbed plates for the Car Motion System – including crossing, curve, and straight plates. The street and crossing roadbed plates of the I-Track roadbed system are made of a special 1 mm material and are glued directly onto the base surface – either with traditional wood glue or with Hacker’s industrial CA superglue. The roadbed plates are factory-prepared with perfectly and precisely pre-cut grooves for installing the 3×1 mm Viessmann magnetic strip (item no. V8430). The crossing roadbed plates additionally feature pre-cut openings for mounting the mechanical Viessmann turnouts (item no. V8448 or V8445). This makes installing the magnetic strip extremely easy. At the turnout position, simply drill a 35 mm hole into the baseboard using a step drill. The mechanical turnout is then mounted on the underside of the baseboard using the I-Track Holder W (item no. HCT8408W).
