The street and crossing roadbed plates of the I-Track roadbed system are made of a special 1 mm material and are glued directly onto the base surface – either with traditional wood glue or with Hacker’s industrial CA superglue. The roadbed plates are factory-prepared with perfectly and precisely pre-cut grooves for installing the 3×1 mm Viessmann magnetic strip (item no. V8430). The crossing roadbed plates additionally feature pre-cut openings for mounting the mechanical Viessmann turnouts (item no. V8448 or V8445). This makes installing the magnetic strip extremely easy. At the turnout position, simply drill a 35 mm hole into the baseboard using a step drill. The mechanical turnout is then mounted on the underside of the baseboard using the I-Track Holder W (item no. HCT8408W).
