Prototype: The VW Beetle Type 11, version 1302, was built from 1970 to 1972 and, with its largest engine, had 50 hp from a 1600 cc four-cylinder boxer engine. This model was the first to feature a more modern front axle with MacPherson struts and a modern semi-trailing arm rear axle. During production of this model, Volkswagen replaced Ford's Model T as the world's most-produced car in 1972 with the Beetle.
Model: This true-to-scale model from the CarMotion series is factory-prepared for operation with the Inductive Charger (item 8408) and has the receiver coil for inductive charging already integrated. With a single battery charge, a running time of approximately 45 to 60 minutes is possible under normal driving conditions with waiting periods and at various speeds, and approximately 30 minutes at top speed. It features:
