Three of the ten new Vectron locomotives leased to Budamar by Rolling Stock Lease already feature a special design. Each locomotive is dedicated to a famous bridge in Slovakia. Bridges were chosen as they are symbols of connectivity and significant landmarks. They are also important architectural structures, which identifies with the company motto “Architects of Logistics”. The Chmarošský viaduct which adorns the 383 220 is located in central Slovakia on a non-electrified line with tourist summer traffic. It bridges a valley with a height of 18 metres and a length of 114 metres. In addition to Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, the locomotives are also mainly operated in Germany and Austria as well as throughout Europe.

On 22nd May 1975, the train category “Swiss Express” belonging to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) was introduced in conjunction with the commissioning of the Heitersberg line, and remained in existence until the year 1982. This category replaced the former city express trains. At the time, these trains were considered a showpiece for the SBB and operated on the most important transport axis from Geneva to St. Gallen. The trains were hauled by eight Re 4/4 IIs equipped especially for the purpose. Sadly, only the 11108 and the 11109 still bear the original livery. The Re 4/4 11108 represents a particularly popular locomotive. The “Cream cake”, as it was lovingly nicknamed, was regularly operated until the year 2021, after which it was put onto the sidings in Olten. Here it awaits further use.

The Taurus-3 locomotive E 91 (1216 940) delivered in 2008 to the Salzburger Lokalbahn (SLB) became the main locomotive for the so-called “Kaindl Shuttle”, a container train from the Liefering terminal to Hüttau and back. During the restructuring of the goods transport at Salzburg AG, the locomotive was sold in June 2021 to DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH. DPB Rail Infra Service is an independent railway transport company and long-standing partner of the ÖBB in the fields of control command and signalling for railway infrastructures. The multi-system electric locomotive is an outstanding supplement to the goods transport sector of the company.

Pro obnovu vozového parku ČSD vyvinula Škoda 2. generaci univerzálních elektrických lokomotiv z 2. poloviny 70. let, z nichž vychází řada S 499.2. Písmeno "S" znamená střídavý proud. Dva prototypy lokomotiv byly dodány v roce 1984 a důkladně testovány. S hodinovým výkonem 3 060 kW dosahovaly lokomotivy nejvyšší rychlosti 120 km/h. V roce 1988 bylo dodáno deset sériových lokomotiv s novým třídním označením 263. Lokomotivy byly nasazeny v rychlíkové a nákladní vlakové dopravě.
